Hans Christian Ørsted (14 August 1777 – 9 March 1851) was a Danish physicist and chemist who is best known for discovering that electric currents can create magnetic fields which is an important part of Electromagnetism. He shaped post-Kantian philosophy and advances in science throughout the late nineteenth century.He was also the first modern thinker to explicitly describe and name the thought experiment. 在十八世紀末到十九世紀初之間，由於卡爾巴尼的偶然發現及伏特的努力，人類才獲得了電流。然後丹麥的物理學家，厄斯特發現電流有磁的作用。今天我們在各方面使用的電磁鐵就是這個發現的結晶。
